Frequently asked questions

Which Robopac pallet wrappers suit light, medium and heavy loads?

Robopac offers a tiered portfolio so you can match machine to throughput and payload. For light to medium volumes up to 2 000 kg there are semi-automatic turntable models such as Ecoplat and Masterplat, each with a 65-inch table and 4 400 lb (≈2 000 kg) capacity.
Where loads are unstable or exceed that figure, Masterwrap HD XL uses a rotary arm that circles a static pallet; because the pallet never turns, there is effectively no weight limit and wraps up to 2.4 m high.

For true heavy-duty and fully automatic applications, Genesis Thunder’s aluminium ring delivers up to 35 pallets h and accepts pallets from 400 × 600 mm to 1 270 × 1 270 mm without declared weight restriction.

How does Cube Technology reduce stretch film usage and damage?

Cube Technology is Robopac’s multi-level, servo-controlled pre-stretch system. Two independent motors meter the film so the “right amount” is delivered at each point on the load. Pre-stretch ratios from 0 % to 500 % and variable containment force are set in recipes on the HMI. The result is 30-55 % film savings, 40 % fewer damaged loads and steadier pallets during transit.

Can Robopac wrappers integrate with Industry 4.0 monitoring platforms?

Yes. Most current Robopac models ship “R-Connect Ready”. R-Connect is a cloud gateway that captures throughput, wrap profiles, alarm codes and energy draw, then serves dashboards accessible from any browser. The system supports predictive maintenance by flagging anomalies and can push firmware or parameter updates remotely, eliminating many engineer call-outs. Data are encrypted and the unit uses its own cellular modem, so you don’t have to place the machine on your office LAN.

What load sizes and weights can your pallet wrappers accommodate?

Turntable machines handle pallets up to 1 200 mm square and 2 200 mm high, weighing 4 400 lb (2 000 kg).

Rotary-arm and mobile-robot units remove the weight ceiling entirely and can wrap heights of 2 800 mm or more.

Fully automatic ring machines such as Genesis Thunder accept formats from 400 × 600 mm to 1 270 × 1 270 mm and wrap up to 2 000 mm high, ideal for mixed production lines.

How do I decide between turntable, rotary arm or robot?

Choose a turntable when pallets are stable, throughput tops out at 40 loads h and floor space is tight. Rotary arms suit very light, very heavy or unstable loads because the pallet stays still, and throughput can reach 30 loads h without weight limits. Mobile robots excel where pallet sizes vary widely or where wrapping stations must roam between bays; they offer limitless pallet length and widths while requiring no fixed installation. Audit your load stability, rate and footprint -then match these to the machine style.

Which safety features protect operators during pallet wrapping cycles?

Robopac machines integrate multilayer protection: anti-fall carriage latches, pressure-sensitive safety bumpers, lock-out/tag-out isolation points, CE-certified guards and LED beacons that project a visual exclusion zone. Control panels feature emergency-stop circuitry conforming to ISO 13850, while ring and rotary arm units include dynamic “parachute” brakes that arrest the wrapping head if a belt fails. These measures ensure operators can load film, recover alarms or perform cleaning without risk of entrapment.
