Durable Protection

Single-walled boxes are constructed from corrugated cardboard, which is known for its strength and resilience. The corrugated layer provides cushioning that absorbs shocks and impacts, protecting the contents from damage during shipping or handling. This makes them an ideal choice for transporting a variety of products, from fragile items to heavier goods, ensuring that your products arrive in perfect condition.

Lightweight Design

Despite their durability, single-walled boxes are lightweight, which helps to lower shipping costs. A lighter package means reduced fuel consumption during transportation and potentially lower shipping fees, making these boxes a cost-effective choice for businesses. Additionally, their lightweight nature makes them easier to handle, improving efficiency in packing, stacking, and storing.

Cost Effective

Single-walled boxes are an economical packaging option, particularly when compared to double-walled or other heavier-duty alternatives. They offer a balance of protection and affordability, making them suitable for businesses that need to manage costs without compromising on the safety of their products. This cost-effectiveness is especially beneficial for small to medium-sized businesses or for high-volume shipping needs.

Versatile Sizing

These boxes come in a wide range of sizes, which allows them to accommodate various product dimensions and shapes. This versatility makes them suitable for different industries, from retail to e-commerce to manufacturing. Whether you need to ship small items, larger products, or bulk orders, there’s a single-walled box that fits your specific requirements.

Eco Friendly

Single-walled boxes are made from recyclable materials, which contributes to sustainability efforts. Many consumers today prefer to do business with companies that prioritise environmentally friendly practices. By using recyclable packaging, your business can reduce its environmental impact and appeal to eco-conscious customers, aligning with global trends towards more sustainable operations.

What type of items are suitable for a single wall box?

Single wall corrugated cartons are best for light-to-medium weight goods – think clothing, cosmetics, shoes, toys, small electronics, books, and other retail or fulfilment items up to roughly 10 kg. They’re also popular as outer cartons for pre-boxed consumer products.

How do I choose the right size box?

Measure the contents: Measure the inside length × width × height of the packed item(s).

Allow for protective packaging: Add the thickness of any void-fill, bubble wrap or paper you’ll use.

Match the internal dimensions: Our product pages list internal sizes; choose the box whose listed size is just larger than your packed dimensions.

Think about efficiency: Where possible, pick a size that nests neatly on a pallet (e.g. 600 × 400 mm footprints) or fits large-letter/parcel limits for Royal Mail and major couriers.

Weight vs strength: If you’re close to 10 kg – or the contents are fragile – consider stepping up to a double wall carton.

Are these boxes recyclable?

Yes. All of our single wall cartons are manufactured from FSC-certified, 100 % recyclable corrugated cardboard and are easily accepted in kerbside paper recycling collections throughout the UK. They’re also biodegradable and compostable if kept dry.

Are these boxes suitable for shipping by courier?

Absolutely. Single wall cartons are the industry standard for parcel networks when the packed weight is modest (typically up to 10 kg). Just be sure to:

Use adequate internal protection so items cannot move.

Seal all seams with quality parcel tape.

Affix clear address and “This Way Up” or “Fragile” labels if required.

For heavier or extra-delicate consignments, double wall or reinforced board may be more appropriate.

Do you offer custom printing on these boxes?

Yes, custom printing is available; just get in touch and we’ll guide you through the options.

Can I get samples of these boxes?

Of course. We’re happy to send out up to three plain sample cartons free of charge so you can check size and board grade.

Printed or bespoke-cut samples can also be produced; these carry a small tooling and carriage fee, which we credit against your first production run.
